The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said:

 

"Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah (swt), Allah (swt) will build something like it for him in paradise." (Sahih Muslim)

 

The Masjid is the heart of any Muslim community.  Masjids not only act as a place of worship for Muslims but many also offer educational facilities and a hub from where communities can gather.  In fact, one of the first duties performed by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) upon entering Madinah was to build a Masjid. 

 

For Muslims, the building of a Masjid, or contributing towards it, is one of the most virtuous forms of Sadaqah Jariyah that Allah (swt) has bestowed upon us.

 

FI'SABIL'ILLAH UK will work with its partners to identify locations around the world where there is a pressing need and requirement for a Masjid.  This could be in areas where Muslims currently offer their Salah at home due to there not being a Masjid in close proximity.

 

FI'SABIL'ILLAH UK will cover the full cost of the Masjid construction Insha'Allah.  We will appoint a trusted local project manager to oversee the project.  We will also aim to use local builders and locally sourced materials and labour in order to provide a small boost to the local economy.

 

FI'SABIL'ILLAH UK will provide regular feedback on all Masjid construction projects including photos of the construction in progress.
