Orphan Sponsorship

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said:

 

"I and the person that looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in paradise like this" - putting his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

 

There are around 153 million orphans around the world without one or both parents.  This is more than double the population of the UK.  Many of these children will already come from disadvantaged backgrounds and this can be magnified further by wars, disasters and disease.

 

The loss of a parent can impact a child's access to the essentials of life including food, clothing, shelter and education.  Thus, it is our responsibility to care for these orphans.

 

FI'SABIL'ILLAH UK will work with its partners to identify a select number of orphans around the world who require sponsorship.  Our sponsorship of these orphans will cover:

 

• Food

• Clean Water

• Clothing

• Shelter

• Medical Care (including medicines)

• Education (including books and stationary)

• Family Home and Foster Mother (where applicable)

 

 

The orphans being sponsored will be monitored regularly by a designated social worker to ensure their well being is maintained.  An annual progress report of each orphan will be posted on the website.
