About Yaser

 

Yaser was born on 22 September 2005 and is currently 11 years of age.

 

Yaser lives in the Baqa'a Refugee Camp, Jordan.

 

Yaser's father, Mohammed, passed away and he is currently looked after by his mother, Maha.

 

Yaser lives with his mother and 3 siblings - Ahlal Naddaf, Ala' Naddaf and Maha Naddaf.

 

Yaser likes to play football, likes to go swimming and likes to read.  Yaser collects photos and marbles as a hobby.  In the future, Yaser would like to be a pilot.

 

Yaser's diet typically includes rice and his favourite food is Molokhia (Spinach type leaves).

 

 

Yaser's Home

 

Yaser lives in a house made of brick, which is rented by the family.  The house is in average condition.  Yaser and his family have adequate and easy access to safe water for drinking and domestic use and adequate sanitation facilities.  Yaser and his family also have adequate gas and electricity supplies.

 

 

Yaser's Health

 

Yaser is in good general health for his age and is generally fit.  Yasser has no known special needs.  Yaser's nearest doctor is less than an hour away and he visits the doctor every 3 months for a medical checkup.  The nearest hospital is less than an hour away.

 

 

Yaser's Education

 

Yaser goes to a primary school where his progress is good.  Yaser's reports show that his attendance is excellent.  Yaser walks to school which takes about 30 minutes.  Yaser receives religious education as is common in the community.  Yaser's favourite subject is mathematics and his least favourite subject is English.

 

 

Yaser's Orpan Officer's Statement:

 

"Yaser is a 5th grade student and his rating is 81%.  He is a fun, active and sociable boy who likes maths but is weak with English.  His least favourite subject is English.  His favourite food is "Molokhia" which consists of rice, chicken and Molokhia (spinach type leaves)."
